고양특례시 일산동구는 안젤라유치원 원아들이 바자회를 통해 마련한 수익금을 저소득 독거 어르신을 위해 기부했다고 28일 밝혔다.

이번 바자회는 아이들과 학부모, 교사가 함께 준비한 참여형 나눔 행사로, 원아들이 가정에서 사용하지 않는 장난감과 도서 등을 직접 가져와 판매하며 자원재활용과 나눔의 가치를 함께 배우는 뜻깊은 교육의 장이 됐다.
특히 올해는 기부 대상도 아이들이 직접 의견을 모아 ‘할머니, 할아버지분들께 도움을 드리자’고 정해 나눔의 의미를 한층 깊게 했다.
기부금은 사회복지공동모금회를 통해 관내 저소득 독거노인에게 전달돼, 겨울철 난방비와 생필품 지원 등 실질적인 복지 지원에 사용될 예정이다.
안젤라유치원 최민자 원장은 “아이들의 작은 손길과 따뜻한 마음이 모인 소중한 기부가 어르신들께 도움이 되길 바란다”며 “아이들이 직접 기부의 의미를 느끼고 실천했다는 점에서 큰 보람을 느낀다”고 말했다.
구 관계자는 “아이들이 스스로 나눔의 의미를 배우고 실천한 점이 참 뜻깊다”며 “이런 따뜻한 마음이 지역사회 전반으로 확산되길 기대한다”고 전했다.
