고양특례시 덕양구 화정2동은 지난 28일 가을을 맞아 주민들이 자주 찾는 화정역 광장과 화정31호 경관광장 일대에 국화꽃을 식재했다고 밝혔다.

이번 행사는 쾌적하고 아름다운 도시 경관 조성을 위해 추진된 것으로, 화정2동 통장협의회, 주민자치회, 동행정복지센터 직원 등 35여 명이 참여했으며 참여자들은 화정역 광장과 화정31호 경관광장 화단 주변에 국화 130여 본을 식재하며 꽃향기가 가득한 거리를 조성했다.
화정2동은 지난 상반기에는 봄과 여름의 정취를 더하는 페츄니아를 심었고, 이번 하반기에는 가을의 분위기를 담은 국화꽃을 식재함으로써 계절마다 변화하는 아름다운 경관 조성에 힘쓰고 있다.
