고양소방서가 11월부터 관내 사업장에서 근무하는 이주노동자들을 대상으로 소방안전교육을 집중적으로 실시한다고 4일 밝혔다.
이번 교육은 사업장 내에서 화재, 구조, 구급 상황이 발생했을 때 신속하게 대응할 수 있도록 이주노동자들의 안전의식을 높이고 화재 대응 능력을 강화하기 위해 기획됐다.
교육은 실생활에서 바로 활용할 수 있는 실용적인 내용으로 구성됐다.
주요 교육 내용은 △화재 발생 시 119 신고 요령 및 대피 방법 △소화기 올바른 사용법 △기숙사 내 주택용 소방시설 설치 안내 △다국어 교육 자료 배부 등이다.
특히 눈길을 끄는 것은 교육에 활용되는 다국어 소방안전 포스터다.

이 포스터는 그림 중심의 직관적인 구성으로 제작돼 언어가 서툴러도 한눈에 이해할 수 있으며, 여러 언어로 번역된 메시지가 함께 담겨 있어 다양한 국적의 이주노동자들이 쉽게 접근할 수 있도록 했다.
박기완 고양소방서장은 "이주노동자들은 언어의 장벽 등으로 인해 소방안전교육의 기회가 상대적으로 적은 것이 현실"이라며 "앞으로도 다국어 교육 자료를 적극 활용해 외국인 근로자들을 위한 양질의 소방안전교육을 제공할 수 있도록 노력하겠다"고 밝혔다.
