파주시는 4일 대화기법 전문가이자 '표현과 소통' 대표인 신지희 씨를 일일명예시장으로 위촉했다고 밝혔다.
신지희 명예시장은 전직 아나운서 출신으로 여러 방송에서 활동한 경력을 바탕으로 현재 국내 기업, 관공서, 대학 등에서 연령대와 상황에 맞는 맞춤형 대화기법 교육을 진행하고 있다.

이날 위촉식 후 신 명예시장은 김경일 파주시장과 차담회를 갖고 평소 관심을 가져온 교육 분야 정책에 대해 폭넓은 의견을 교환했다.
이어진 일정에서는 파주시 평생학습관, 청년공간 지피(GP)1939, 문산도서관, 파주시 청소년수련관을 차례로 방문했다.
신 명예시장은 각 기관에서 시민 대상 교육 프로그램 운영 현황과 청소년·청년 활동 지원 사업을 담당자들과 함께 살펴보고, 개선 방안과 협력 방향에 대해 논의하는 시간을 가졌다.

신지희 명예시장은 "평소 관심 있던 기관을 직접 방문하고 담당 부서의 설명을 들으며 현장을 둘러보는 뜻깊은 시간이었다"며 "민간 전문가로서 시정에 참여해 소통과 협력이 구현되는 파주를 만들어가는 데 적극 협력하겠다"고 소감을 밝혔다.
