파주시, ‘나눔지하수사업’ 완료

파주시는 지난 6월부터 가뭄 대비 비상 용수 확보를 위해 환경부와 한국수자원공사와 공동으로 추진한 ‘나눔지하수사업’을 최근 마무리했다고 6일 밝혔다.

민방위 비상급수시설은 전시·재난 등으로 상수도 공급이 중단될 때 시민에게 비상 용수를 공급하는 시설이다. 

파주시는 시내 공공관정인 민방위 비상급수시설 7곳을 대상으로 현장 여건에 맞춰 관정 청소, 펌프 교체, 상부 보호공 설치 등 시설을 정비·개선했다.

이번 사업으로 파주시는 가뭄 시 하루 음용수 505톤, 생활용수 240톤 등 총 745톤의 비상용수를 안정적으로 공급할 수 있는 시스템을 구축했다. 

시는 2024년부터 최근까지 민방위 비상급수시설 6곳에 노후 음수대를 교체하고 편의 의자와 차양막을 설치하는 등 시민 이용 환경 개선에도 힘써왔다.

시 관계자는 “이번 사업으로 각종 재난상황에도 시민들이 안심하고 깨끗한 비상용수를 이용할 수 있기를 기대한다”며, “앞으로도 민방위 비상급수시설 관리와 확충에 최선을 다하겠다”라고 말했다.
