파주시의회 의원연구단체 'AI와 미래 정책연구회'(대표의원 이진아)가 지난 6일 시의회 세미나실에서 「파주시 미래비전 수립을 위한 미래산업분야 정책연구」 최종보고회를 성황리에 개최했다.
이날 보고회에는 이진아 대표의원을 비롯해 최창호, 이혜정, 손성익 의원 등 연구단체 소속 의원들과 파주시 정보통신과장, AI기반팀장, 용역사 관계자 등이 참석해 약 3개월간의 연구 성과를 공유하고 향후 정책 방향을 심도 있게 논의했다.

이번 연구는 파주시의 디지털 AI 생태계 조성과 시민 역량 강화를 목표로 단기부터 장기까지 단계별 실행전략을 담았다.
주요 내용으로는 ▲콘텐츠 창작자 육성 ▲디지털 랩(Digital Lab) 도입 등 단기 실행계획과 함께 중·장기 추진전략이 포함됐다.
이진아 대표의원은 "이번 연구가 파주시만의 AI 서비스 구축을 통해 행정 혁신을 이끌고, 실질적인 정책으로 현실화하는 밑거름이 되길 바란다"고 연구의 의미를 강조했다.
연구단체 의원들은 "지난 7월 파주시 AI기반팀이 신설된 만큼, 지역 특성에 맞는 맞춤형 AI 서비스 구축을 통해 행정의 주도적 역할을 강화하고, 파주시만의 독창적인 정책 개발과 시행으로 이어지길 기대한다"고 밝혔다.
이어 "전문가와 시민의 다양한 의견을 폭넓게 수렴해 향후 정책에 적극 반영되길 바란다"며 시민 참여형 정책 수립의 필요성을 강조했다.
