【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=새마을문고중앙회 음성군지부는 지난 11일 음성군새마을회 2층 회의실에서 ‘대통령기 제45회 국민독서경진 음성군예선대회’를 개최했다.
이번 대회는 국민의 독서생활화 촉진 및 건전한 독서문화 확산을 위한 전국 규모 행사로, 지역 예선을 통해 우수 독후감·편지글 작품을 선발했다.
관내 초·중·고등학생 및 일반인을 대상으로 진행된 이번 예선에는 총 143편의 작품이 접수됐다.
심사 결과 개인 및 단체 부문에서 총 41명이 수상했으며 선정된 우수 작품은 새마을문고 충청북도지부에 추천돼 도 대회에 출전할 예정이다.
음성군 예선대회 주요 수상자는 △독후감 단체부문 고등부 최우수 글로벌선진학교(조수아, 강은서, 이예은) △독후감 개인부문은 초등부(저) 최우수 유진모(동성초), 초등부(고) 최우수 황하윤(동성초), 중등부 최우수 구예은(글로벌선진학교), 고등부 최우수 허윤성(글로벌선진학교) 등이다.
편지글 부분은 초등부 최우수 김예빈(동성초), 고등부 최우수 강은서(글로벌선진학교), 일반부 최우수 윤상영(매괴여자중학교 교사)가 수상했다.
조근동 회장은 “독서는 개인의 성장과 공동체의 품격을 높이는 중요한 활동”이라며 “이번 대회를 통해 군민 모두가 책과 함께하는 문화가 확산되길 바란다”고 말했다.

In the letter writing category, Kim Ye-bin (Dongseong Elementary) won the top award in the elementary school division; Kang Eun-seo (Global Advanced School) won the top award in the high school division; and Yoon Sang-young (teacher at Maegoe Girls' Middle School) won the top award in the general division.
Chairman Cho Geun-dong stated, "Reading is an important activity that fosters personal growth and enhances the quality of a community. I hope this contest will foster a culture of reading among all residents."
