【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=충북 증평군은 20일 증평읍 연탄1리 마을회관 앞에서 ‘소각산불 없는 녹색마을’현판식을 열고, 산불 예방과 깨끗한 환경 조성에 앞장서는 주민들의 노력을 격려했다.
이날 행사에는 이재영 군수를 비롯해 마을주민 등 30여 명이 참석해 소각 없는 깨끗한 마을 만들기 의지를 함께 다졌다.
‘소각산불 없는 녹색마을’사업은 생활폐기물 및 농업부산물의 무단 소각을 근절하고 주민 자율 참여를 통해 산불 발생을 예방하기 위한 산림청 주관의 산불예방 캠페인이다.
연탄1리 마을은 평소에도 산불 예방 교육에 적극 참여하고, 소각 대신 자원 재활용을 실천하는 등 모범적인 주민 실천 사례로 녹색마을로 지정됐다.
김기섭 이장은 “이 현판은 우리 마을 모두가 만든 자랑스러운 결실로 산불 없는 마을을 지켜 나가겠다”고 소감을 전했다.
이재영 군수는 “소각을 하지 않는 작은 실천이 마을과 산림을 지키는 큰 힘”이라며 “앞으로도 주민과 함께 안전하고 푸른 지역을 만들어가겠다”고 말했다.
한편 군은 앞으로도 주민 참여 중심의 산불 예방 활동을 강화하고, ‘소각산불 없는 녹색마을’을 지속 확대해 산불 없는 안전하고 푸른 증평을 실현할 계획이다.
