【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=충북 증평군은 20일 제214회 증평군의회 정례회에서 2026년도 예산안을 제출하고, 내년도 군정 운영 청사진을 밝혔다.
이재영 군수는 이날 시정연설을 통해 “2025년은 ‘내실 있고 강한 자치도시, 군민 중심 증평’을 향해 쉼 없이 달려온 한 해였다”며 “군민의 행복을 최우선 가치로 삼고 추진한 변화와 혁신이 다양한 성과로 이어지며 증평의 새로운 가능성을 증명했다”고 강조했다.
이어 “2026년은 증평이 새로운 100년을 준비하는 원년으로 올해의 변화와 혁신을 마중물 삼아 ‘스마트 시티 증평, 콤팩트 도시 증평’으로 힘차게 도약하겠다”고 밝혔다.
군은 이를 위해 △돌봄과 복지의 혁신 △미래산업 기반 강화 △문화·관광도시 도약 △스마트 농촌 공간 조성 △내일의 도시기반 구축 5대 핵심 전략을 추진한다.
먼저 돌봄 분야에서는 행복돌봄센터 건립과 ‘증평형 올케어 복지체계’를 통해 임산부부터 청소년, 노년층까지 생애주기 전반의 돌봄 서비스 통합 플랫폼을 완성한다.
산업 분야에서는 도안면 송정리 증평3산업단지와 용강리 4산업단지 조성을 통해 첨단 제조와 지식산업이 공존하는 산업거점을 구축하고, 공공임대형 지식산업센터를 중심으로 지역 중소기업과 스타트업 성장 발판을 마련한다는 구상이다.
문화·관광 부문도 속도를 낸다.
복합문화예술회관과 추성산성 역사문화공원, 좌구산 친환경 숙박시설 조성 등 주요 인프라 확충을 통해 ‘품격 있는 문화도시 증평’을 구현하고, 보강천 파크골프장 확충 및 스포츠테마파크 조성으로 생활체육 수요에도 대응한다.
기후변화 대응과 스마트 농촌공간 조성에도 힘을 쏟는다.
도안면 노암리 스마트팜단지 완공을 통해 청년농과 귀농·귀촌인의 창업을 지원하고, 먹거리통합지원센터와 농산물가공센터를 운영해 생산부터 유통까지 지역 농업의 부가가치를 높인다.
이와 함께 농촌공간정비사업을 지속 추진해 안전하고 쾌적한 정주환경도 만들 계획이다.
교육 분야에서는 AI·에듀테크 연계 인재양성 모델을 마련해 지역맞춤형 미래 인재 생태계를 조성하고, ‘에듀테크 밸리’ 사업을 본격화한다.
특히 생애주기별 맞춤형 복지 예산과 지역 숙원사업 반영으로 군민의 일상에서 체감할 수 있는 변화를 이끌겠다는 방침이다.
이재영 군수는 “우리의 인생이 속도보다 방향이 중요하듯, 증평의 미래도 군민을 위한 올바른 방향 위에서 속도감 있게 전진할 것”이라며 “지금까지 쌓아 온 성과들이 군민 삶의 질을 높이고 결실로 이어질 수 있도록, 군민 여러분과 함께 도시의 미래를 열어가겠다”고 말했다.
한편, 군은 2026년 예산안으로 2907억 원을 편성했다. 전년 대비 46억 원 증가한 규모로, 일반회계 2699억 원, 특별회계 208억 원이 반영돼 역대 최대 수준이다.
