이재명 대통령이 23일(현지시간) 남아프리카공화국 G20(주요20개국) 정상회의 마지막 세션 참석을 끝으로 모든 일정을 마무리했다.
이 대통령은 이날 요하네스버그 엑스포 센터 정상회의장에서 ‘모두를 위한 공정한 미래’ 주제로 열린 제3세션에서 글로벌 AI 기본 사회 구축·안정 호혜적 핵심 광물 공급망 구축·청년 및 여성 AI 역량 강화 등을 통한 포용적 기회 창출 등을 강조했다.
그러면서 "(AI 분야 경우) 기술 발전이 모든 국가 및 모든 이들에 고른 기회를 제공토록 해야 한다”며 "대한민국도 모든 인류가 AI 혜택을 고루 향유하는 글로벌 AI 기본 사회 실현을 위해 국제 사회와 적극 협력하겠다”고 했다.
또 "기술 발전은 인류에 큰 기회인 동시에 커다란 도전”이라며 “AI 혁신·핵심 광물 공급망 회복력 강화는 포용적 기회 창출로 이어져야 한다”고 했다.
이어 “G20이 ‘넬슨 만델라 베이·브리즈번·이테쿠이니 목표’를 채택한 걸 환영한다”며 “대한민국도 소외 계층에 기회를 보장하는 AI 디지털 배움터 구축·청년 맞춤형 AI 교육 확대에 힘쓰고 있다”고 했다.
더불어 "가나·탄자니아에서 여성·청소년을 위한 수학·과학 교육을 지원하고, 르완다에 소프트웨어 특성화고를 건립한 것처럼 향후 아프리카 내 여성·청년 디지털 역량 강화를 적극 지원해 나가겠다”고 덧붙였다.
