고양특례시는 지난 24일 중부대학교 고양창의캠퍼스 세종관 312호에서 찾아가는 인구교육을 진행했다고 밝혔다.

이번 교육에는 중부대학교 학생 40여 명이 참여해 저출산과 고령화 등 인구구조 변화에 대한 이해를 높이고 미래 사회의 대응 전략을 고민하는 시간을 가졌다.
강의는 인구와미래정책연구원 이우택 정책연구위원이 맡아 인구변화의 이해와 미래 준비를 주제로 진행했다.
강사는 저출산과 고령사회의 현황과 특징, 청년인구 감소와 지역소멸 문제, 국내외 대응사례, 개인의 생애설계와 사회적 책임 등을 설명하며 학생들의 관심을 이끌었다.
특히 고양시의 최근 인구 흐름을 중심으로 저출산과 고령화가 지역사회와 청년층의 미래에 미치는 영향을 설명하며 급격한 인구 변화 속에서 청년 세대의 참여와 인식 변화의 중요성을 강조했다.
시 관계자는 이번 교육이 대학생들이 인구문제를 현실적으로 이해하고 미래의 진로와 직업 선택에 균형 잡힌 관점을 형성하는 계기가 되길 바란다고 전했다.
