브레이크뉴스 정민우 기자= 넥슨은 자사 샌드박스형 플랫폼 ‘메이플스토리 월드’에 ‘메월드 실험실’ 서비스를 26일 개시했다고 밝혔다.
‘메월드 실험실’은 정식 출시 전의 새로운 월드를 먼저 체험하고 이용자 피드백을 개발 과정에 직접 반영할 수 있도록 마련한 시스템이다. 이용자는 개발 중인 다양한 월드를 미리 플레이하며 의견을 전달할 수 있고, 월드 개발자들은 이를 기반으로 출시 전 완성도를 높일 수 있다.
이번 서비스에는 ‘메이플스토리’ IP를 기반으로 한 다양한 장르의 신규 오리지널 월드 3종이 우선 참가한다. ‘몬스터 가이드북’은 어두운 맵을 탐험하며 위험한 몬스터에게 들키지 않게 사진을 찍어 가이드북을 완성하는 은신, 잠입형 공포 월드다. ‘인피니티 라이즈’는 적의 패턴을 파악하고 타이밍을 맞춰 반격하는 액션 RPG 장르로, 긴박감 있는 전투가 특징이다.
