【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=충북 진천군은 군립교향악단이 창단 2년 차를 맞아 공연 규모를 전년 대비 10배 확대하며 지역 문화 예술 활성화에 박차를 가하고 있다고 1일 밝혔다.
2024년 창단된 진천군립교향악단은 지난해 총 4회의 공연을 통해 클래식 음악 저변 확대와 지역 예술 인재 발굴에 주력했다.
올해에는 군민의 높은 관심과 수요를 반영해 12월까지 총 38회의 공연을 개최할 계획이다.
지난해 창단 공연에서는 지역 출신 연주자 발굴과 함께 대중 친화적인 프로그램 구성으로 호평을 받은 바 있다.
올해는 △다양한 장르와의 협업 공연 △문화 소외 계층을 위한 ‘찾아가는 음악회’ △청소년 오케스트라 교류 프로그램 등을 통해 문화접근성 향상과 세대 통합을 도모했다.
특히, ‘찾아가는 음악회’는 농촌 지역과 관내 기업체 등을 직접 방문해 문화 격차 해소에 이바지했으며, 창단 2년 차를 맞이해 운영한‘문화소외계층·지역으로 찾아가는 음악회’는 문화소외지역 주민들에게 호응을 얻었다.
군은 교향악단의 공연을 단순 관람이 아닌 지역사회 참여형 문화 사업으로 확장하고, △청소년 오케스트라 교류 공연 △지역 예술인과의 협업 △계절별 테마 음악회 등을 통해 세대·계층을 아우르는 화합의 장을 마련할 예정이다.
김영철 군 문화예술팀장은 “교향악단이 진천의 대표 문화 브랜드로 성장할 수 있도록 인프라 구축과 프로그램 다양화에 힘쓸 것”이라며 “앞으로도 공연 확대를 통해 지역 경제 활성화와 관광 자원 연계의 선순환 구조를 만들어 가겠다”고 말했다.
