박 씨는 생전 자원봉사 활동을 활발히 하셨던 친정어머니의 뜻을 이어 초등돌봄전담사, 방과후지도사 자격증을 바탕으로 지역 내 돌봄나눔플러스센터(초등학생 돌봄 봉사), 드림스타트(부모 교육 시 아이 돌봄 봉사) 등에서 봉사활동을 이어오고 있다.
최근에는 ‘초롱이 행복돌봄나눔터’에 따뜻한 겨울맞이를 위한 온수기(60만 원 상당)를 기탁하는 등 지역 돌봄 현장 곳곳에서 조용한 나눔을 실천하고 있다.
박성희 씨는 “돌봄 현장에서 만나는 아이들과 이웃들을 보며 나눔의 의미를 더욱 깊이 느끼고 있다”며 “작은 정성이지만 누군가의 마음에 작은 온기로 전해져 따뜻한 겨울을 보낼 수 있길 바란다”고 말했다.
