【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=충북 증평군이 보건복지부가 주관한 지자체 장애인복지사업평가에서 2년 연속 ‘우수기관’으로 선정되며, 장애인복지 선도 지자체로서의 위상을 다시 한번 입증했다.
지자체 장애인복지사업평가는 장애인복지의 체계적 추진 기반을 마련하고 지역 복지 수준을 향상하기 위해 2020년부터 실시되고 있다.
2025년 평가는 전국 229개 기초자치단체를 대상으로 △장애인 자립 지원 △장애인 서비스 지원 △장애인복지 전달체계 △우수사례 등 4개 분야 12개 항목에 대해 종합적으로 이뤄졌다.
군은 △장애인보호작업장 건립 및 여가공간 조성 △장애인 신규서비스 개발 공모사업 선정 △최중증장애인 일자리 운영 △안전한 돌봄환경 지원 등 현장의 요구를 반영한 신규 사업 발굴과 촘촘한 지원체계 구축에서 높은 평가를 받았다.
특히 현장에서 체감되는 복지를 구현하고자 다양한 기관과 협업을 강화한 점이 우수사례로 꼽혔다.
군 관계자는 “이번 2년 연속 우수기관 선정은 군의 노력뿐 아니라 장애인, 가족, 지역사회가 함께 이루어낸 귀중한 성과”라며 “앞으로도 장애인복지의 새로운 흐름을 선도하며 현장에서 필요한 복지가 실현될 수 있도록 더욱 세심하고 실질적인 지원을 이어가겠다”고 말했다.
한편, 충북시각장애인복지연합회(회장 고하동)와 소속 직원들은 우수기관 선정을 축하하며 9일 군을 찾아 점자 감사장을 전달했다.
연합회는 시각장애인 쉼터 운영과 장애인의 날 기념 ‘장애공감 Week’ 문화체험 활동 등 작은 목소리에도 귀 기울이는 증평군의 세심한 행정에 대한 감사의 마음을 감사장에 담았다고 전했다.
