증평군정신건강복지센터 장효재 사회복지사, ‘제7회 국회자살예방 대상’ 국방부장관 표창

【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=충북 증평군정신건강복지센터 장효재 사회복지사가 ‘2025년 제7회 국회자살예방대상’ 유공자로 선정되는 영예를 안았다.

국회자살예방대상은 자살예방을 위해 헌신적으로 활동해 온 유공자를 발굴·포상해 생명존중문화를 확산하고 자살예방에 대한 범국가적 관심을 높이기 위해 마련된 상이다. 

11일 국회의원회관에서 열린 이번 시상식에서 장효재 사회복지사는 국방부 장관 표창을 수상했다.

지역 내 기업, 군대, 학교 등에서 교육을 진행하며 생명지킴이를 양성하고, 자살예방 캠페인과 홍보 등 지역사회 생명존중 문화를 확산하는 데 앞장선 공로가 높이 평가됐다.

특히 그동안 지역 내 자살 고위험군 발굴과 위기 개입, 상담 지원 등 실질적인 현장 중심의 활동을 이어오며 증평군의 자살예방 안전망 강화에 중요한 역할을 해왔다.

한편 증평군정신건강복지센터는 현대소망의료재단이 위탁운영하고 있으며, 지역의 자살예방과 정신건강을 위한 발굴 및 사례관리 서비스, 위기개입, 교육 및 상담 등 다양한 자살예방과 정신건강을 위한 서비스를 제공하고 있다.
