【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=충북 증평군은 15일 연말을 맞아 엔젤어린이집이 군청을 방문해 지역 내 취약계층 아동을 위한 성금 50만원을 기탁했다고 밝혔다.
올해 1월에 이어 진행된 두 번째 나눔으로, 바자회 수익금과 영아·학부모·교직원의 자발적 참여로 마련돼 의미를 더했다.
성금은 취약계층 아동의 자산 형성을 지원하는 디딤씨앗통장 후원사업에 사용될 예정이다.
디딤씨앗통장은 아동이 매월 일정 금액을 저축하면 국가와 지자체가 월 최대 10만 원까지 적립금을 매칭해주는 제도로, 대학 진학·직업훈련 등 자립 준비를 돕고 빈곤의 대물림을 예방하기 위해 운영되고 있다.
이날 기탁식 이후에는 아동친화도시 정책의 수혜자인 아이들과 현장 관계자들의 의견을 듣기 위한 간담회도 함께 열렸다.
이 자리에는 지역 영유아와 어린이집 교사들이 참여해 일상 속에서 체감하는 보육·돌봄 환경과 아동친화도시 도약을 위한 아동 정책에 대한 다양한 목소리를 전했다.
간담회에서는 △놀이공간·안전환경 강화 △아동권리 교육 확대 △보육환경 개선 필요성 △영유아 돌봄 서비스 확충 등 다양한 의견이 오갔다.
김양연 원장은 “원아들과 교직원들의 따뜻한 마음을 담아 다시 한번 기부할 수 있어 더욱 뜻깊다”며 “영유아들의 작은 표현에도 귀 기울여 주는 모습에 깊이 감사드린다”고 말했다.
군 관계자는 “증평의 미래 주역인 아이들의 의견은 하나하나 전부 소중하다”며 “현장의 의견을 바탕으로 아동이 존중받는 환경을 만들어가기 위해 지속적으로 노력하겠다”고 밝혔다.
