【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=음성군치매안심센터가 2025년 충청북도 치매관리사업 발전대회에서 지역특화 우수사례 부문 장려상을 수상했다.
센터는 지난 12일 충청북도광역치매센터 주관으로 충북도내 14개 보건소(치매안심센터)와 3개 치매유관기관이 참여한 우수사례 평가에서 치매 예방과 관리 분야에서의 지속적인 노력을 인정받으며, 지난해에 이어 2년 연속 우수기관으로 선정됐다.
특히 지역사회 내 LH아파트를 중심으로 한 치매 조기 검진 확대, 은둔형 노인 발굴, 치매안전환경 조성, 예방 중심의 지역 협력 모델 구축 등 다양한 사업 추진 결과가 높이 평가됐다.
센터는 올해 1월 관내 LH아파트 11개소와 협약을 체결하고 관리사무소장, 사회복지협의회·노인복지관 소속 생활지원사 등과 함께 협의체를 5회 운영했다. 이를 통해 231명 노인을 대상으로 치매선별검사를 실시하고, 그중 은둔형 노인 62명을 발굴해 조기 검진 및 치매관리서비스로 연계했다.
지역 주민이 자연스럽게 치매 예방 정보를 접할 수 있도록 경로당 입구에 치매예방수칙 안내판을 제작·설치했으며, 주거환경 안심스티커를 각 노인 가정에 부착·배부해 예방인식을 높였다.
또한 5개소 아파트에서 치매예방프로그램을 운영해 주민들의 인지 건강 증진을 지원했으며, 치매환자 가족을 대상으로 선돌메주 농원의 치유프로그램과 연계해 심리·정서적 부담을 완화하는 가족 지원 활동도 추진했다.
구미숙 보건소장은 “이번 수상은 지역 아파트 단지, 생활지원사, 복지기관이 함께 협력해 만든 결과”라며 “앞으로도 치매 예방 환경 강화 등을 위한 지역 맞춤형 치매관리사업을 지속 추진하겠다”고 소감을 밝혔다.

The Eumseong County Dementia Care Center received an Encouragement Award in the Regional Specialization Best Practice category at the 2025 Chungcheongbuk-do Dementia Care Project Development Competition.
On the 12th, the center was recognized for its continued efforts in dementia prevention and management in an evaluation of best practices hosted by the Chungcheongbuk-do Metropolitan Dementia Center, which included 14 public health centers (dementia care centers) and three dementia-related organizations in Chungcheongbuk-do. This was the second consecutive year the center was selected as an Outstanding Institution.
In particular, the center's various projects, including expanding early dementia screening, particularly in LH apartments within the community, identifying reclusive elderly individuals, creating a dementia-safe environment, and establishing a prevention-focused regional cooperation model, were highly evaluated.
In January of this year, the center signed agreements with 11 LH apartment complexes in the district and held five consultative meetings with management office managers, social welfare council members, and senior welfare center support staff. Through these meetings, 231 seniors were screened for dementia, and 62 reclusive seniors were identified and referred to early screening and dementia management services.
To ensure that local residents have easy access to dementia prevention information, signs informing them of dementia prevention guidelines were created and installed at the entrances to senior centers. Safety stickers were also attached and distributed to each senior's home to raise awareness.
Furthermore, dementia prevention programs were run in five apartment complexes to support residents' cognitive health. Family support activities were also implemented, linking the Seondol Meju Farm's healing program to alleviate the psychological and emotional burden on families of dementia patients.
