(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시가 23일 시청 나눔회의실에서 ‘2025년 제5회 인천광역시 라이즈(RISE) 위원회’를 개최하고, 2025년 인천시 RISE 2차 공모 사업 수행대학 확정(안) 등을 심의 ․ 의결했다고 밝혔다.
인천시에 따르면, 인천형 라이즈 사업은 인천 전략산업 선도 미래인재 양성, 대학 특성화 중심 지·산·학 협력, 지역 일자리 연계 평생교육 혁신, 지역문제 해결형 선도 프로젝트 등 4대 프로젝트와 14개 단위과제로 이뤄져 있다.
인천시는 이번 2차 공모에서 인공지능(AI) 인재 양성, 원도심 재생, 초광역 협력 등 새 정부의 정책 기조와 인천의 지역 현안 해결 과제에 중점을 뒀다.
라이즈위원회 심의 결과, 총 6개 단위과제에 대해 9개 대학을 수행대학으로 선정하고 총 37억 원의 사업비 지원을 확정했다.
선정된 대학은 가천대학교(캠퍼스), 경인여자대학교, 인천대학교, 연세대학교(캠퍼스), 인하공업전문대학, 인하대학교, 재능대학교, 청운대학교(캠퍼스), 한국폴리텍대학 등 총 9개교다.
앞서 인천시는 관내 12개 대학을 대상으로 지난 11월 18일부터 12월 8일까지 공모를 실시해 총 18개 사업을 접수했으며, 인천 라이즈(RISE)센터는 분야별 외부 전문가로 구성된 평가위원회를 통해 공정하고 객관적인 심사를 진행했다.
