【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=충북 증평군은 증평읍 덕상4리 마을주민들이 23일 군청을 방문해 지역 아동을 위한 후원금 100만 원을 아동발달지원계좌 대상 아동들을 위해 사용해 달라며 기탁했다고 밝혔다.
덕상4리는 귀농·귀촌인의 꾸준한 유입으로 인구가 증가함에 따라 2023년 행정구역 조정을 통해 새롭게 출범한 마을이다.
귀농·귀촌인과 원주민이 자연스럽게 어우러져 공동체를 이루고 있는 것이 특징이다.
이러한 마을 분위기 속에서 덕상4리는 2023년부터 지역 내 저소득 아동을 돕기 위한 후원 활동을 매년 이어오고 있으며, 올해 역시 마을주민들의 뜻을 모아 나눔을 실천했다.
임승봉 이장은 “우리 지역 아동들이 보다 나은 환경에서 성장할 수 있도록 마을주민들의 마음을 모았다”며 “이번 후원이 아동들에게 실질적인 도움이 돼 밝고 건강한 미래를 위한 디딤돌이 되기를 바란다”고 전했다.
한편, 아동발달지원계좌(디딤씨앗통장)는 취약계층 아동이 18세 이후 대학진학, 직업훈련 등에 드는 초기 비용 마련을 위해 매월 일정 금액을 저축하면 국가(지자체)에서 월 최대 10만 원의 지원금을 매칭·적립해 주는 사업으로 현재 지역 내 200여 명의 아동이 아동발달지원계좌 지원을 받고 있다.
