전북자치도 전주시가 올 한 해 동안 장기간 정체된 도시 현안의 해법을 찾아 미래 지속 가능한 인프라 구축 사업을 속도감 있게 추진했다.
전주시는 급변하는 도시환경과 인구ㆍ산업 구조 변화에 능동적으로 대응하는 동시에 광역도시 도약을 위한 기반 구축에 행정 역량을 집중했다고 26일 밝혔다.
특히 장기간 정체된 대규모 도시개발을 정상화하는 등 전략적인 도시 인프라 확충과 주거환경 개선 및 지역 맞춤형 도시재생을 병행해 경쟁력을 끌어올리고 시민들의 삶의 질을 향상시키는 데 주력했다.
실제로 올 7월 전주종합경기장 철거를 완료한 뒤 전주 마이스 복합단지 도시개발사업 실시계획인가를 고시와 부지 개발 1단계 공사에 착수해 사업 추진을 본격화했다.
옛 대한방직 부지 개발사업도 민간사업자로부터 주택 건설 사업 계획 승인 신청이 접수됐다.
관련 부서 및 재해ㆍ재난ㆍ환경ㆍ안전ㆍ교육환경ㆍ소방 등 각 기관의 영향 평가와 심의 등 대규모 개발사업에 따른 사전절차가 완료돼 지난 9월 전주 관광타워 복합개발 사업 계획이 최종 승인됐다.
