충남 서산시의회가 한 해 동안의 의정활동을 마무리하며 새로운 도약을 다짐했다.
의회는 12월 31일 본회의장에서 ‘2025년 서산시의회 종무식’을 열고, 올해의 공식 일정을 모두 마쳤다. 이날 행사에는 조동식 의장을 비롯해 시의원과 의회사무국 직원 등 40여 명이 참석해 서로의 노고를 격려했다.
종무식은 의정발전 유공자 시상, 송년사, 의원 회고사, 기념촬영 순으로 진행됐다. 의정발전 유공자 표창에는 의회사무국 최은숙 홍보팀장이 충청남도의회의장상을, 조한흥·황선희 주무관이 충청남도시군의장협의회장상을 각각 수상했다.
조동식 의장은 송년사에서 “2025년 한 해 동안 시민을 위한 의정활동에 최선을 다해온 동료 의원님들과 의정 지원을 위해 헌신한 사무국 직원들께 감사드린다”며 “새해에는 한층 성숙한 의정활동으로 시민의 신뢰에 부응하자”고 당부했다.
서산시의회는 올 한 해 조례 제·개정과 시정 현안 점검 등 시민 생활 전반에 걸친 의정활동을 펼쳤으며, 2026년에는 ‘시민 중심의 협력 의회’ 구현을 목표로 더욱 투명하고 책임 있는 의정 운영을 이어갈 계획이다.
