【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=충북 진천군 보건소는 보건복지부가 주관한 2025년 노인 방문구강건강관리 시범사업 평가에서 우수기관으로 선정돼 보건복지부 장관 표창을 수상했다고 6일 밝혔다.
이는 군 보건소가 지난 1년간 추진해 온 어르신 맞춤형 구강건강사업이 전국적인 우수사례로 인정받은 결과다.
군 보건소는 시범사업 초기부터 지역 돌봄 자원을 연계한 ‘진천형 방문구강건강관리 모델’을 구축해 거동이 어려운 65세 이상 어르신 대상 직접 찾아가는 서비스를 제공해왔다.
주요 서비스는 대상자별 구강상태 평가를 바탕으로 △구강위생·의치 관리 교육 △구강건조, 구강기능 저하 예방 △저작불편 감소를 위한 생활 개선 지도 △가족, 생활지원사 등 돌봄인력 교육 등을 통한 구강건강 개선 효과를 거뒀다.
특히, 치과 접근성이 낮은 농촌지역 특성을 고려한 현장 중심의 개별 맞춤 접근법은 어르신들의 구강위생 개선과 구강기능 유지에 큰 도움이 됐다는 평가다.
군 보건소는 시범사업 종료 후에도 방문 구강건강관리 서비스를 계속해서 운영하며, 서비스 대상 확대와 프로그램 다양화를 통해 방문 구강건강관리 서비스 체계를 한층 보완할 계획이다.
남은정 군 진료팀장은 “앞으로도 어르신들이 거주지에서 양질의 구강 건강서비스를 받을 수 있도록 지역 특성에 맞는 구강 관리체계 강화에 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
