【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구 중구가 행정안전부가 주관한 ‘2025년 지방규제혁신 성과평가’에서 전국 243개 지자체 중 구 단위 1위, 최우수 기관으로 선정됐다.
이로써 중구는 2년 연속 전국 최고 성과를 거두며 특별교부세 3억 원을 확보했다고 13일 밝혔다.
이번 평가는 법령 규제 발굴, 조례·규칙 정비, 그림자·행태 규제 개선 등 각종 분야의 규제 혁신 노력을 종합적으로 심사해 이뤄졌다. 중구는 주민 체감도가 높은 규제 개선, 제도 정비 등의 분야에서 높은 점수를 받았다.
대표적인 성과로는 관광특구 활성화를 위한 노천카페 등 편의시설 설치 근거 조례를 개정한 점이 꼽힌다. 이번 조례 개정으로 점용허가 기준이 명확해지면서, 지역 상권과 관광 활성화에 제도적인 기반을 마련했다는 평가다. 또한 출산 관련 지방세 감면 절차를 개선해 주민들이 별도의 신청 없이 혜택을 받을 수 있도록 해 편의를 높였다.
중구는 이 밖에도 규제개선토론회를 열어 현장 의견을 수렴하고, 행정규제혁신 조례와 시행규칙의 제·개정도 진행했다. 가족관계 사무 위임 범위 확대 등 중앙부처와의 협의 과제도 꾸준히 추진하면서, 실질적인 제도 개선에 속도를 내고 있다.
류규하 중구청장은 “2년 연속 최우수 성과를 거둘 수 있었던 것은 현장에서 구민 불편을 하나하나 해결해온 결과”라며 “앞으로도 주민 생활에 도움이 되는 규제 개혁을 지속적으로 추진하겠다”고 말했다.
