협의회는 지난 16일 오전 10시 경북도의회 지하 1층 강당에서 신년 간담회를 열었다. 행사에는 이달희 국회의원, 박성만 경상북도의회 의장, 남영숙·황명강 경북도의원과 도내 여성 시·군의원 등 약 30명이 참석했다.

이날 간담회는 새해 인사와 함께 여성 지방의원의 네트워크를 강화하고, 의정활동 과정에서의 고민과 과제를 공유하기 위해 마련됐다. 참석자들은 국민의힘의 2026년 지방선거 승리를 다짐하며, 지역 현장에서 여성 의원의 역할과 책임에 대해 의견을 나눴다.

이달희 국회의원은 특강을 마치며 “정치는 긴 여정”이라며 “유권자가 신뢰할 수 있는 정치인으로서 기본 가치에 충실한 모습을 보여주는 것이 곧 브랜드”라고 말했다. 협의회 측은 “여성 지방의원의 역량 강화를 위해 교육과 정책 논의를 계속 이어가겠다”며 “내년 지방선거를 앞두고 여성 공천과 참여 확대를 위해 조직적으로 준비하겠다”고 밝혔다.

국민의힘 경북여성지방의원협의회는 앞으로도 정기 세미나와 교육 프로그램을 통해 의원 역량을 높이고, 중앙당과 협력해 여성 공천 확대와 관련 제도 개선을 추진할 계획이다.
