【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=음성군은 20일 무극시장 일원에서 관계 공무원, 안전보안관 등 20여 명이 참여한 가운데 ‘겨울철 안전사고 예방 캠페인’을 전개했다.
이번 캠페인은 겨울철 반복되는 대설로 인한 안전사고와 화재 등 각종 재난을 예방하고, 주민 스스로 참여하는 안전 문화를 확산하기 위해 마련됐다.
이날 캠페인에 참여한 안전보안관들은 보행로·상가 앞 적설을 신속히 치워 미끄럼 사고를 예방할 수 있도록 무극시장과 인근 상가 밀집 지역을 중심으로 ‘내 집 앞, 내 점포 앞 눈 치우기’ 실천 운동을 홍보했다.
또한 불티 비상 방지망 설치, 주변 가연물 적치 금지, 취급·관리요청 준수 등 화목보일러 화재 예방 수칙도 안내했다.
아울러 ‘겨울철 재난·안전 집중신고제’를 홍보했다. 안전신문고 앱·전화 등을 통한 눈·빙판 방치, 위험시설물, 화재위험 요인 등 생활 속 안전위험요인에 대한 신고 방법을 설명했다.
또한 시장 상인과 주민들을 대상으로 홍보물을 배부해 골목길과 인도 주변 안전 취약 요인에 대한 의견을 청취하고, 대설로 인한 인명사고 사례를 설명하는 등 현장 중심 홍보를 병행했다.
군 관계자는 “생활 주변에서 발견되는 위험 요인은 방치하지 말고, 겨울철 재난·안전 집중신고제를 통해 적극 신고해 주시면 신속하게 조치해 나가겠다”며 “앞으로도 현장 중심의 예방 활동을 지속적으로 추진해 안전한 지역을 만드는 데 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
한편 군에서는 이번 캠페인을 시작으로 겨울철 동안 제설 취약 구간 점검, 전통시장·다중이용시설 안전관리 점검, 주민 참여형 안전교육·홍보를 지속적으로 추진해 나갈 계획이다.
