[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 함양군의 대표적인 글로벌 인재 육성 프로그램인 제20회 키스비전 프로그램 연수단(학생 16명·인솔자 1명)이 21일 미국 어학연수를 위해 출국했다.
키스비전 프로그램은 함양군 안의면 출신 장용진 회장이 일궈낸 글로벌 뷰티 기업인 키스(KISS)사가 고향의 후학을 양성하기 위해 2005년부터 운영해 온 사회공헌 및 장학 프로그램이다.
이번 제20회 키스비전 프로그램은 관내 중학교 2학년을 대상으로 학교별 예선과 키스사의 화상 면접을 거쳐 총 16명을 최종 선발했다.
선발된 학생들은 9박 11일 일정으로 미국 뉴욕, 보스턴, 워싱턴 등지의 하버드, 프린스턴, 예일대학 등 동부 아이비리그 명문대학을 탐방하며 안목을 넓히게 된다.
또 현지 해릭스 공립고등학교를 방문해 학생들과 수업을 함께하며 문화 교류의 시간을 가지는 등 다양한 체험 활동을 하게 된다.
군 관계자는 “키스비전 프로그램은 함양군 학생들이 자신감과 국제적 감각을 키울 소중한 기회”라며 “연수 기간 학생들이 안전하게 프로그램을 마칠 수 있도록 군에서 안전관리에 최선을 다하겠다.”라고 밝혔다.
한편, 키스비전 프로그램 연수단은 해외 프로그램 일정을 마무리한 후 오는 31일 오후 인천공항을 통해 귀국하여 오후 11시경 함양에 도착할 예정이다.

The 20th Kiss Vision Program, Hamyang County's flagship global talent development program, departed for the US on the 21st for language training.
The Kiss Vision Program is a social contribution and scholarship program run by KISS, a global beauty company founded by Chairman Jang Yong-jin, a native of Anui-myeon, Hamyang County, since 2005 to nurture future generations of students in their hometown.
The 20th Kiss Vision Program targeted second-year middle school students in the county. A total of 16 participants were selected through preliminary screenings at each school and video interviews conducted by KISS.
The selected students will broaden their horizons during an 11-day, 9-night trip to prestigious Ivy League universities in New York, Boston, and Washington, D.C., including Harvard, Princeton, and Yale.
They will also visit local Harris Public High School, participate in classes with students, and engage in various experiential activities, including cultural exchange.
A county official stated, "The Kiss Vision program is a valuable opportunity for Hamyang County students to build confidence and international awareness. The county will do its utmost to ensure the students' safety during the program."
Meanwhile, the Kiss Vision program trainees will return to Korea via Incheon Airport on the afternoon of the 31st after concluding their overseas program, arriving in Hamyang around 11:00 PM.
