【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=충북 증평군이 지난 28일 김득신문학관에서 2026 증평군 동계 학생근로에 참여한 30여 명의 대학생들을 대상으로 간담회를 개최했다.
이번 간담회는 동계 학생근로 기간 군정 현장에서 근무한 학생들의 노고를 격려하고, 근로 소감과 함께 군정 발전을 위한 다양한 의견과 건의사항을 청취하기 위해 마련됐다.
동계 학생근로에 참여한 학생들은 지난 1월 2일부터 약 한 달간 군청 본청을 비롯해 직속기관, 사업소, 읍·면 행정복지센터 등에 배치돼 사무 보조와 환경 정비 등 행정 전반을 지원하며 공직 현장을 직접 체험했다.
간담회에 참석한 한 학생은 “군청 곳곳에서 각양각색의 행정을 직접 체험해 볼 수 있는 뜻깊은 시간이었다”며 “군민의 삶을 더 나아지게 만들기 위해 현장에서 묵묵히 노력하는 공직자들의 모습이 인상 깊었다”고 소감을 전했다.
이재영 군수는 “비록 짧은 기간이었지만 학생근로 경험이 스스로의 가능성을 발견하고 새로운 도전에 대한 용기를 키우는 계기가 됐기를 바란다”며 “앞으로도 청년들이 체감할 수 있는 정책을 지속적으로 발굴·지원해 청년이 머물고 싶은 증평을 만들어 나가겠다”고 말했다.
한편, 군은 더 많은 청년에게 공직 체험 기회를 제공하기 위해 올해부터 학생근로 대상을 기존 대학생·대학입학 예정자에서 18~39세 청년으로 확대했으며, 2026년 하계 학생근로부터 적용될 예정이다.

The students who participated in the winter student work program were assigned to the county office, affiliated organizations, business offices, and township/village administrative welfare centers for approximately a month, starting on January 2nd.
