대전시교육청이 사교육 시장의 불법·편법 운영을 근절하고 학부모의 사교육비 부담을 낮추기 위해 학원, 교습소, 개인과외교습자에 대한 연중 지도·점검 체계를 가동한다.
교육청은 올해 학원 운영의 투명성 제고와 학생 안전 확보를 목표로, 정기점검뿐 아니라 민원이나 위반이 잦은 기관을 중심으로 상시 점검 및 현장 점검을 강화할 계획이다.
이번 지도·점검은 최근 점검을 받지 않았거나 민원이 제기된 학원, 교습소, 개인과외교습자를 우선 대상으로 진행된다.
점검 내용에는 교습비 초과 징수 여부 ,학원배상책임보험 가입 현황 ,강사 채용·해임 시 성범죄 및 아동학대 전력 조회 의무 준수 ,광고표시의 정확성 ,시설 무단 변경 여부 등이 포함된다.
특히 허위·과장 광고에 대한 연중 특별점검도 병행한다.
이를 위해 대전시교육청은 선행학습을 조장하거나 학부모를 오도하는 불법 광고를 철저히 단속해 학생 중심의 신뢰도 높은 교육환경을 조성한다는 방침이다.
대전시교육청은 본청과 동·서부교육지원청 누리집에 마련된 ‘학원 등 불법신고·제보센터’를 통해 접수된 민원을 신속하게 처리한다는 방침을 세우고, “신고 즉시 현장 확인 및 행정조치를 실시해 위법 사례를 조기에 차단하고, 학생들이 안심하고 이용할 수 있는 학습 환경을 보장할 것”이라고 밝혔다.
