의정보고회서 과학행정·생활현장 성과 공유…서구청장 도전 속 시동
“데이터 의정이 행정을 바꾼다”…30년 연구 경력에서 나온 성과

오는 6월 실시하는 지방선거에서 대전 서구청장 도전에 나선 대전 서구의회 신혜영 의원(더불어민주당, 둔산1·2·3동)이 7일 서구문화원에서 ‘주민이 주인으로 서는, 서구’ 의정보고회를 열고 재선 의원으로서 지난 성과와 향후 비전을 발표했다.
이날 행사는 서구청장 출마 준비 행보의 연장선으로 해석되며, 지역 정치권의 관심이 집중됐다.
의정보고회장은 박범계·장철민·박정현·장종태 의원, 허태정 전 대전시장, 김제선 중구청장 등 민주당 주요 인사들의 참석으로 열기를 더했다.
또 김민석 국무총리, 추미애 법제사법위원장, 한준호 최고위원, 조승래 사무총장, 서영교 의원 등은 영상과 축전을 통해 신 의원의 정치적 역량과 비전을 응원했다.

신혜영 의원은 최근 지역 현안으로 부상한 ‘대전·충남 행정통합’ 문제에 대해서도 목소리를 냈다.
신 의원은 투명한 정보 공개와 시민 참여형 논의 구조를 강조하며 “균형발전의 목표는 지역민이 실질적 변화를 체감하는 것”이라고 말했다. 또한 지방재정 확대와 인사혁신을 통한 효율적 행정체계 구축의 필요성도 함께 제언했다.
박범계 의원은 축사에서 “신혜영 의원은 누구보다 주민의 목소리에 귀 기울이는 정치인”이라며 “변화와 책임의 정치를 이끌 주체”라고 평가했다. 서영교 의원은 영상축사를 통해 “세금을 가치로 돌려주는 정치인이 될 것”이라고 했고, 추미애 위원장도 “서구 주민의 삶을 지키는 의정활동이 앞으로 더 큰 결실을 맺기를 바란다”고 응원했다.
