안양시 동안치매안심센터(이하 센터)는 2026년을 맞아 예방부터 치료, 돌봄까지 아우르는 포괄적 치매 관리 사업 ‘안심하세요, 2026’을 본격 가동한다고 10일 밝혔다.
센터는 오는 12일부터 이틀간 열리는 운영위원회를 시작으로, 관양동(2019년 지정)과 부흥동(2022년 지정) 등 우수 치매안심마을을 거점으로 지역사회 치매 안전망 강화에 나선다.
동안치매안심마을 사업은 ▲치매 친화적 환경 조성 ▲치매 예방 및 조기 발견 ▲치매 돌봄 기능 강화 등 3대 영역으로 추진된다. 이를 통해 치매파트너 양성과 안심가맹점·치매극복선도단체 지정을 확대하고, ‘두뇌청춘교실’ 등 예방 프로그램과 어버이날 ‘감사해孝’ 행사 등 체감형 돌봄 서비스를 제공할 계획이다.
센터는 안심마을 사업과 함께 치매 환자와 가족의 경제적·심리적 부담 완화를 위한 지원도 확대한다. 올해는 만 75세 진입자를 포함해 약 1,700명을 대상으로 치매검진 및 등록관리 사업을 추진하고, 중위소득 140% 이하 가구에는 연 36만 원 한도의 치매 치료관리비를 지원한다. 또한 센터 등록 재가 치매 환자에게는 기저귀 등 조호물품을 최대 1년간 제공한다.
치매 환자 실종 예방과 안전 관리도 강화된다. 배회 증상이 있는 환자를 대상으로 인식표 보급과 사전 지문등록을 실시하고, 치매로 인한 복합적 문제를 겪는 환자 130명을 신규 발굴해 일상생활 관리, 보조물품 지원, 가정 내 안전관리 등 맞춤형 사례관리 서비스를 지원한다. 아울러 2019년부터 운영 중인 치매공공후견사업과 가족 대상 힐링 프로그램, 자조모임, 심리치료 등도 지속 운영된다.
이 밖에도 치매 중증화 지연을 위해 쉼터 및 인지강화 프로그램을 주 2~4회 운영하고, 복지관 등으로 찾아가는 치매예방교실을 통해 의료 접근성을 높일 예정이다.
김순기 동안구보건소장은 “치매는 더 이상 개인과 가족만의 부담이 아니다”라며 “어르신에게는 편안한 노후를, 가족에게는 마음의 여유를 드릴 수 있도록 촘촘한 지역사회 돌봄 체계를 구축해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
