황간면 금계리에서 복숭아를 재배하는 박정기 씨 농가는 2,400평 규모의 3중 연동 하우스에서 ‘미황·조황·성백’ 품종을 재배하고 있다. 지난해 12월 초 가온을 시작해 2월 초순부터 붉은 꽃망울을 터뜨리기 시작했으며, 이는 5년 전(12월 25일)보다 가온 시기가 앞당겨진 것이다. 수확은 5월 중순경 이뤄질 것으로 예상된다.
또한 심천면 용당리에서 플럼코트(티파니·하모니)를 재배하는 한차우 씨 농가는 400평 규모의 시설하우스에서 지난 1월 20일 가온을 시작했으며, 최근 꽃이 활짝 피었다. 수확은 6월 20일 이후가 될 전망이다.
