친환경종합분석실은 부지 2,395㎡, 연면적 949㎡(지상 1층) 규모로 조성됐으며, 2022년부터 올해까지 총 62억의 사업비가 투입된 첨단 연구시설이다.

분석실에는 고성능 질량분석기 등 30여 종의 전문 장비가 구축돼 ▲농산물 잔류농약 분석 ▲토양검정 및 중금속 분석 ▲가축분뇨 분석 등을 수행한다. 특히 기존에 분산 운영되던 토양, 가축분뇨 분석 기능에 농산물 잔류농약 검사 기능을 통합해, 농업인이 한 곳에서 모든 분석 서비스를 받을 수 있는 ‘원스톱’ 체계를 완성했다.
시설 내부에는 농산물안전분석실과 종합검정실, 사무공간 등이 마련됐다. 농산물안전분석실에서는 로컬푸드 직매장과 공공급식 등에 납품되는 농산물을 대상으로 463종의 농약 잔류 성분을 검사해 생산과 출하 전 단계의 안전관리를 지원할 계획이다.
종합검정실에서는 농작물 재배지 토양검정과 중금속 검사, 축산농가의 가축분뇨 분석을 추진한다. 이를 통해 비료와 퇴비의 적정 살포를 지도하고, 환경 부담을 줄이는 지속 가능한 친환경농업 기반을 강화할 방침이다.
분석서비스는 영동군에 주소 또는 농지를 둔 농업인이면 누구나 무료로 이용할 수 있다. 농산물 1~3kg, 토양 500g, 퇴비 등 가축부뇨 500g의 시료를 준비해 방문 신청하면, 결과는 7~15일 이내에 확인할 수 있다.
영동군농업기술센터는 연간 5,300건 이상의 분석을 지원해 농산물의 생산부터 유통까지 체계적인 안전관리시스템을 구축하고, 지역 농산물의 품질 경쟁력과 소비자 신뢰도를 한층 높일 계획이다.
