【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충주시가 농촌 인력난 해소를 위해 캄보디아 계절근로자 109명이 27일 인천공항을 통해 입국했다고 밝혔다.
이들은 2022년 충주시와 캄보디아 왕국 노동직업 훈련부 간 체결한 외국인 계절근로자 유치 업무협약(MOU)에 따라 농촌 근로 지원을 위해 들어왔다.
도착 당일 마약 검사와 범죄 예방, 소방 안전 교육을 마친 뒤 시설채소, 담배, 인삼 재배농가 36곳에 즉시 배치돼, 최대 8개월간 농촌 일손을 지원한다.
