【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충북 영동군은 정월대보름을 맞아 군민의 안녕과 풍년을 기원하는 전통 민속 행사를 개최했다.
군은 지난 3일 밤 이수공원 앞 영동천변에서 ‘2026 정월 대보름맞이 풍년기원제 및 달집태우기’ 행사를 열었다.
이번 행사는 우리 고유명절인 정월대보름을 맞아 전통 민속놀이인 풍년기원제와 달집태우기를 통해 전통문화를 계승·보존하고, 군의 번영과 군민의 안녕·무병장수 및 소원성취를 기원하기 위해 마련됐다.
이날 행사는 지신밟기를 시작으로 풍년기원제, 달집태우기, 풍물놀이 순으로 진행됐다. 풍년기원제에는 영동군수를 초헌관으로, 영동군의회 의장을 아헌관으로, 영동문화원장을 종헌관으로 각각 참여해 군민의 안녕과 지역발전을 기원했다.
이어 군수, 군의회 의장, 문화원장을 비롯한 기관·단체장과 각계각층 대표 등 20여 명이 함께 달집에 점화하며 한 해의 풍요와 소망을 기원하는 화합의 장을 연출했다. 이어 풍물놀이와 함께 소원지 달기, 떡 나누기 등 부대행사도 진행돼 군민이 함께 참여하고 즐기는 전통문화 체험의 시간이 됐다.
