【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=김영환 충북도지사는 5일 영동군을 찾아 주요 현안사업장을 점검하고, 주민간담회와 도정보고회를 통해 군민들과 민생 현안을 공유하는 등 현장 중심의 소통 행보를 이어갔다.
먼저 김 지사는 초강절벽 일대를 사계절 체험형 레저단지로 조성하는 초강천빙벽장 관광명소화 사업 현장을 방문해 추진 현황을 보고받고 주요 시설 조성 부지를 점검했다.
이번 사업은 단순 방문형 관광을 넘어 체류형 관광 기반을 확충해 지역경제에 활력을 불어넣기 위한 전략사업으로, 2022년 충청북도 4단계 지역균형발전사업(전략)으로 확정됐다. 총사업비 330억 원을 투입해 2026년 준공을 목표로 추진되고 있다.
김 지사는 영동 노인복지관도 찾아 점심 배식봉사에 직접 참여했다. 어르신 한 분 한 분께 음식을 정성껏 담아 드리며 안부를 묻는 등 따뜻한 교감의 시간을 가졌으며, 어르신들과 함께 식사를 하며 복지관 이용 과정에서의 생활 불편사항과 다양한 복지 수요를 청취했다.
