전북특별자치도가 '웰니스 관광 클러스터 공모' 사업에 최종 선정돼 한옥마을과 독립서점 등 지역의 '인문자원'과 발효ㆍ지역 식재료 등 '치유음식'을 연계한 전북형 웰니스를 고도화한다.
6일 김윤덕 국토부 장관 겸 전주시 갑 국회의원에 따르면 전북이 문체부가 공모한 사업에 선정돼 보유한 고유의 치유 자원과 결합한 관광상품 개발 및 민ㆍ관ㆍ학의 연계 지원으로 지역의 매력적인 고부가가치 웰니스 관광산업의 육성될 기틀이 마련됐다.
문화체육관광부는 이날 "'웰니스 관광 클러스터' 사업지로 전북ㆍ대구ㆍ부산ㆍ인천ㆍ강원ㆍ충북 등 6곳을 선정하고 평가 결과에 따라, 최대 3년간 국비 13.5억 원의 예산을 지원한다"고 밝혔다.
지난해 12월 29일부터 올 1월 23일까지 광역지자체를 대상으로 공모를 진행했다.
사업계획의 타당성ㆍ구체성ㆍ웰니스와 의료 융복합 사업화 및 지역관광 연계 방안 등을 평가해 최종 6곳을 선정했다.
