【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충청북도교육청은 환경교육센터 와우를 중심으로 모든 학교의 탄소중립학교 운영과 교원 환경교육 역량 강화를 핵심으로 한 <2026년 충북 환경교육>을 본격 추진한다고 밝혔다.
환경교육센터 와우는 체험형 환경교육과 교원 연수, 학교·가정·지역 연계 프로그램을 운영하는 충북 환경교육 거점 기관으로, 개관 이후 누적 방문객 5만 명을 기록했으며 학교 단체 체험, 숲체험, 기후위기 대응 프로그램 등 현장 체험 중심 교육을 운영하고 있다.
2026년 충북 환경교육의 핵심은 도내 모든 학교를 대상으로 한 탄소중립학교 운영이다. 모든 학교는 환경교육 기본계획을 수립하고, 교육과정과 연계해 연간 6시간 이상의 환경교육을 의무적으로 운영하게 된다.
