【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=한국외식업중앙회 충북지회 제천시지부는 지난 5일 제천시청 청풍호실에서 제61회 정기총회를 개최하고, 불우이웃 지원을 위한 성금 150만 원을 기탁했다.
이날 정기총회에는 엄병길 지부장을 비롯한 180여 명의 회원과 최승환 제천시 부시장, 박영기 제천시의회 의장, 김유석 충북도지회장 등이 참석해 외식업 종사자들의 노고를 격려하는 시간을 가졌다.
총회는 물가 상승과 인건비 부담 등 어려운 여건 속에서도 지역 외식산업을 지켜온 업주들을 격려하고 회원 간 결속을 다지기 위해 마련됐다.
또한 외식업 발전에 기여한 유공자와 우수회원 9명, 오래된 전통 음식점 5곳에 표창이 수여됐으며 회원 자녀 5명에게는 장학금도 전달됐다.
이날 기탁된 성금은 충북사회복지공동모금회를 통해 지역 내 도움이 필요한 이웃들을 위해 사용될 예정이다.
엄병길 지부장은 “작은 정성이지만 어려운 이웃들에게 힘이 되길 바란다”라며 “앞으로도 지역사회와 함께 나눔을 지속적으로 실천하겠다”라고 밝혔다.
시 관계자는 “정기총회와 함께 따뜻한 성금을 기탁해 주신 한국외식업중앙회 제천시지부에 감사드린다”라며 “전달된 성금은 도움이 필요한 이웃들에게 소중히 전달하겠다”라고 말했다.
