【브레이크뉴스 경산】이성현 기자=대구대학교 글로벌브릿지 영재교육원이 7일 경산캠퍼스 성산홀 강당에서 ‘2026학년도 입학식 및 학부모 워크숍’을 열고 미래 사회를 이끌어갈 영재 교육에 본격적으로 나섰다.

대구대 글로벌브릿지 영재교육원은 2014년부터 경상북도교육청 지정 대학 영재교육원으로 운영되고 있으며, 올해는 정보·융합·외국어 분야 영재교육과정을 개설했다.
이번 입학식에는 정보 과정 25명, 융합 과정 41명, 외국어 과정 28명 등 총 94명의 신입생과 학부모가 참석해 새로운 출발을 함께했다.
행사는 입학 선언을 시작으로 이미순 영재교육원장의 축사와 교육과정 소개 순으로 진행됐다. 이어 열린 학부모 워크숍에서는 대구대 문화콘텐츠학부 이희정 교수가 ‘AI 시대의 영재란?’을 주제로 특별 강연을 진행해 학부모들의 관심을 모았다.
영재교육원은 오는 14일부터 집합 교육과 원격 교육을 병행하는 프로그램을 운영하며 학생들의 창의적 사고와 융합 역량을 키우기 위한 체계적인 교육과정을 본격적으로 시작할 예정이다.
이미순 글로벌브릿지 영재교육원장은 “빠르게 변화하는 인공지능 시대에 맞춰 학생들이 창의적이고 융합적인 사고를 갖춘 미래 인재로 성장할 수 있도록 적극 지원하겠다”고 말했다.

Daegu University Global Bridge Gifted Education Center held the "2026 Entrance Ceremony and Parent Workshop" at the Seongsan Hall auditorium on the Gyeongsan Campus on the 7th, marking the start of a full-fledged initiative to educate gifted students who will lead future society.
Daegu University Global Bridge Gifted Education Center has been operating as a designated gifted education center by the Gyeongsangbuk-do Office of Education since 2014. This year, it launched gifted education programs in information, convergence, and foreign languages.
A total of 94 new students and their parents attended the ceremony, including 25 students in the information program, 41 in the convergence program, and 28 in the foreign language program, joining in on this new beginning.
The event began with the admissions declaration, followed by congratulatory remarks from Director Lee Mi-soon of the Gifted Education Center, and an introduction to the curriculum. At the parent workshop that followed, Professor Lee Hee-jung of Daegu University's Department of Cultural Contents delivered a special lecture on the topic, "What makes a gifted student in the AI era?" This lecture captured the attention of parents.
Starting on the 14th, the Gifted Education Center will operate a program that combines in-person and remote learning, launching a systematic curriculum designed to foster students' creative thinking and convergent capabilities.
Lee Mi-soon, Director of the Global Bridge Gifted Education Center, stated, "We will actively support students to grow into future leaders equipped with creative and convergent thinking in the rapidly evolving AI era."
