이날 정화 활동에는 단양군새마을지도자 50여명이 참여하여, 생태체육공원 내 캠핑장을 비롯해 평소 손길이 닿기 어려운 계류장 하천변까지 구석구석 살피며, 겨울철 방치되었던 생활 쓰레기와 하천 부유물 등을 집중적으로 수거했다.
이번 활동은 봄철 단양을 찾는 관광객들에게 ‘청정 단양’의 이미지를 심어주고, 주민들에게 쾌적한 휴식 공간을 제공하기 위해 마련되었다.

Danyang County Saemaul Movement Launches Local Environmental Cleanup Activities to Welcome Spring
On March 9th, the Danyang County Saemaul Movement launched a large-scale environmental cleanup activity in the Danyang-eup Ecological Sports Park and the surrounding mooring area to mark the start of the spring season.
Approximately 50 Danyang County Saemaul leaders participated in the cleanup.
