【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=충북 증평군은 10일 노인지회 회의실에서 제23기 장수노인대학 입학식을 개최했다고 밝혔다.
이날 행사에는 이재영 군수를 비롯해 조윤성 군의장, 연기봉 대한노인회 증평군지회장 등이 참석해 어르신 48명의 새로운 출발을 축하했다.
행사는 노인 강령 낭독, 노인대학장의 입학허가 선언, 장수노인대학 생활 안내 순으로 진행됐다.
장수노인대학은 지역 어르신들의 평생학습 기회를 확대하고 활기찬 노년 생활을 지원하기 위해 매년 운영되고 있으며, 올해로 23기를 맞았다.
지역 내 65세 이상 어르신을 대상으로 오는 11월까지 매월 둘째·넷째 주 화요일 오전 10시부터 12까지 진행된다.
교육 과정은 건강관리, 정보화 교육, 교양 강좌 등 총 16회로 구성됐다.
이재영 군수는 축사에서 “노인대학에 입학하신 어르신들의 도전과 열정을 존경한다”며 “배움의 기쁨을 통해 더 건강하고 행복한 삶을 누리시길 바란다”고 말했다.
