경기도의회 여성가족평생교육위원회 소속 최효숙 의원(더불어민주당, 비례)이 지난 3월 5일 경기도서관 플래닛경기홀에서 열린 ‘2026년 경기도 광역도서관위원회 회의’에 위원으로 참석해 경기도 도서관 정책의 미래 방향을 점검하고 주요 안건을 심의했다고 10일 밝혔다.

이어 “도서관은 단순히 책을 읽는 공간을 넘어 도민들이 기후 위기와 AI 등 급변하는 사회 변화를 경험하고 학습하는 거점이 돼야 한다”며 “특히 정보 취약계층이 소외되지 않도록 맞춤형 프로그램을 확대하고, 경기도서관이 광역 대표 도서관으로서 도내 31개 시·군 도서관을 연결하는 허브 역할을 충실히 수행해야 한다”고 강조했다.
