【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=제천시는 고금리와 인력난 등 어려운 경영환경에 놓인 지역 중소기업의 경영 안정과 경쟁력 강화를 위해 ‘중소기업육성자금 이차보전금 지원사업’과 ‘중소기업 기숙사 임차비 지원사업’을 추진하고 있다.
중소기업육성자금 이차보전금 지원사업은 기업이 금융기관에서 융자를 받을 때 발생하는 대출이자의 일부를 시가 지원하는 제도로, 기업의 자금 조달 부담을 완화해 안정적인 경영활동을 돕기 위해 마련됐다.
시는 올해 총 100억 원 규모의 지원을 목표로 기업당 최대 5억 원까지 대출을 지원하며, 연 4% 이내의 이차보전금을 지원한다. 상반기에는 21개 기업을 융자 추천 기업으로 선정해 총 85억 6천만 원 규모의 지원을 추진한다. 잔여 융자 재원에 대해서는 6월 하반기 추가 공고를 통해 지역 중소기업의 자금 수요에 적극 대응할 계획이다.
아울러 시는 기업 근로자의 안정적인 정주 여건 조성을 위해 중소기업 기숙사 임차비 지원사업도 함께 추진한다.
이 사업은 기업이 근로자를 위해 기숙사를 임차해 운영할 경우 임차료의 최대 80%, 1인당 월 최대 30만 원을 최대 6개월간 지원하는 제도다.
시는 작년 대비 약 7천만 원을 증액한 총 1억 원 규모의 사업비를 투입해 약 47명의 근로자를 지원할 계획이다. 기업당 최대 10명까지 지원받을 수 있으며, 참여기업 모집 기간은 3월 16일부터 3월 27일까지이다. 이후 심사를 거쳐 지원기업을 최종 선정한다.
시는 자금 지원과 근로자 정주 지원을 병행해 기업의 경영 부담을 완화하고, 인력 확보 여건을 개선함으로써 지역 산업 경쟁력을 강화하고 지역경제 활성화를 도모한다는 계획이다.
