【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=충북 진천군은 20일 농다리 합수부 일대에서 ‘새봄맞이 하천(호수) 주변 사회·단체 연합 환경정화 활동’을 실시했다.
이번 활동은 미호강과 백곡천이 만나는 합류부와 미르숲 일대 하천변에 방치된 쓰레기를 수거해 깨끗한 환경을 조성하고, 주민과 관광객에게 쾌적한 휴식 공간을 제공하기 위해 마련됐다.
이날 행사에는 한강조합·현대모비스·진천군으로 구성된 생거진천팀을 비롯해 현대모비스 임직원과 가족, 여성단체, 자연보호협회, 봉화로타리, 그린리더, 진천울림 등 민간단체와 기업체, 공무원 등 총 200여 명이 참여했다.
참여자들은 농다리 일대를 2개 구역으로 나누어 강변 곳곳에 쌓인 쓰레기와 폐비닐, 각종 오염물질을 집중 수거하며 하천 환경 개선에 힘을 보탰다.
또한 현대모비스 참여자들은 환경정화 활동 이후 미호강 버드나무길과 농다리, 미르309, 수변데크길, 미호강 전망대, 메타세쿼이아길 등을 둘러보며 지역 생태자원을 체험하는 시간도 가졌다.
진윤호 군 환경과 주무관은 “새봄을 맞아 사회·단체와 함께 하천변 환경정화 활동을 추진해 더욱 깨끗하고 아름다운 진천을 만들고자 했다”며 “앞으로도 지속적인 관리와 정비를 통해 생태환경을 보전하고 군민과 방문객 모두가 만족할 수 있는 수변 공간을 조성해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
