【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구 북구청과 북대구우체국이 지역 내 고독·고립 위기가구를 발굴하기 위해 손을 잡았다.
양 기관은 최근 업무협약을 맺고, 오는 4월부터 ‘희망체크, 복지등기 우편사업’을 새롭게 추진한다고 밝혔다.
이 사업은 집배원이 등기우편을 배달하는 과정에서 체크리스트로 가구의 생활 상황을 점검하고, 이상 징후가 포착되면 즉시 동 행정복지센터와 연계하는 방식으로 진행된다.
점검 항목에는 주거환경, 식사 상태, 건강 이상 유무 등이 포함된다. 집배원이 이상 징후를 발견하면 현장 사진과 상태를 기록해 긴급 지원이나 방문 상담으로 이어지도록 한다.
이후에는 복지서비스 지원과 함께 의료, 돌봄 등 지역 자원을 연계한 사후 관리도 마련된다.
배광식 북구청장은 “행정의 손길이 미치지 못하는 사각지대를 찾아내는 것이 무엇보다 중요하다”며 “우체국과 협력해 현장에서 위기가구를 빠르게 발굴하고 지원까지 연결하겠다”고 밝혔다.
김보경 북대구우체국장도 “이번 협력이 사회적 고립 가구를 조기에 발견하는 계기가 될 것”이라고 말했다.

Buk-gu Mayor Bae Gwang-sik stated, "It is of paramount importance to identify blind spots where administrative assistance does not reach," adding, "We will cooperate with the post office to quickly identify households in crisis on-site and connect them with support." Kim Bo-kyung, head of the North Daegu Post Office, also said, “This cooperation will serve as an opportunity to detect socially isolated households at an early stage.”
