교육 대상은 편성된 해부터 40세가 되는 해까지의 대원이며 연차별로 교육 이수 시간이 다르다.
1~2년 차 및 기술지원대원은 집합교육 4시간을 이수해야 하며 3~4년 차는 사이버 교육 2시간, 5년 차 이상은 사이버 교육 1시간을 각각 이수해야 한다.
집합교육은 오는 4월 2일부터 30일까지 총 5일간 안성맞춤아트홀에서 오전과 오후로 나누어 진행된다. 사이버 교육은 전용 포털을 통해 24시간 수강할 수 있으나 지방 선거 기간인 5월 21일부터 6월 3일까지는 일시 중단되며 6월 4일부터 재개된다.
교육 내용은 민방위 소양과 화재 안전 및 응급처치 등으로 구성되며 사이버 교육은 평가 점수 70점 이상을 받아야 수료가 인정된다.
