행정안전부의 적극행정 종합평가는 전국 243개 지방자치단체를 대상으로 적극행정 제도개선, 활성화 노력, 이행성과, 체감도 등 5개 항목 18개 지표를 종합적으로 평가하는 제도이다.
군은 제도개선 노력, 기관장의 적극행정 역량 강화, 기관의 적극행정 성과창출 노력, 사전컨설팅 신청·처리, 우수사례 민간위원·국민 평가 등 15개 지표에서 우수한 성적을 거뒀다.
보은군은 적극행정 실행계획 수립과 제도 정비를 기반으로 현안 해결 중심의 행정을 추진하고, 우수사례 발굴과 홍보, 인센티브 부여 등 전반적인 운영 체계를 체계적으로 구축한 것이 좋은 평가를 받았다.
특히 현장 중심의 문제 해결과 부서 간 협업을 통해 군민이 체감할 수 있는 행정 성과를 만들어낸 점과, 적극행정 문화 확산을 위한 교육과 제도 운영을 지속해 온 점이 2년 연속 우수기관 선정으로 이어진 것으로 분석된다.
