[브레이크뉴스경기남부=용인 이현준기자] 용인특례시는 화성시와 함께 26일 기흥동 행정복지센터에서 연계교통 상생발전 실무협의회 제2차 회의를 열었다.
이번 회의에는 양 도시의 도로와 철도 부서 관계자 10명이 참석하여 연계 도로망 확충과 세부 사항을 논의했다. 특히 화성시가 착수한 동탄신도시 일원 교통개선 용역에 포함된 용인 남사에서 화성 신동 간 연결도로의 타당성 검토를 바탕으로 향후 업무협약 체결을 위한 협력 사항과 추진 계획을 구체화했다.
시는 실무협의회를 지속하여 올해 상반기 중으로 연계 도로망 초안을 마련하고 사업 추진에 속도를 낼 계획이다.
양 도시는 지난해 공동선언을 통해 이동권 개선과 물류망 확보를 약속했으며 경기남부 동서횡단선과 분당선 연장 등 주요 철도망 사업이 제5차 국가철도망 구축계획에 반영되도록 공동 대응을 이어가고 있다.
