HS효성은 1일 김규영 회장의 취임을 공식 발표했다. HS효성은 전문경영인 출신의 회장을 선임함으로써 보다 전문적이고 합리적인 의사결정 체계를 구축하고, 투명하고 건강한 기업 거버넌스 확립에 본격적으로 나선다는 방침이다.
김 회장은 1972년 효성의 모태인 동양나이론에 입사한 이후 50년 이상 한 회사에서 경력을 쌓아온 대표적인 ‘효성맨’이자 엔지니어 출신 경영인이다. 한양대학교에서 섬유공학을 전공한 후 생산 현장에서 커리어를 시작, 울산·언양·안양 등 효성 주요 사업장의 공장장을 역임하며 공정 혁신과 품질 경쟁력 제고를 이끌었다.
